Biography

S3 Design and Development Ltd was established in 2014 and although the company is young, the owner has a wealth of experience in the area of Engineering and Design.

I created the company to allow me to pursue my passion for creating solutions to my clients’ issues.

I have spent 14 years working for Bentley Motors and I am proud to have been involved in the Bentley GT series of cars. My area of expertise was in the area of Body Closures working on developing bonnet and boot hinges, power boot systems and mechanisms for the deployment of the bonnet on the GT and Mulsanne.

Bentley taught me the value of attention to detail and creating something just a little bit better than is required. An invaluable skill that I now use on my clients’ projects.

I am passionate about design and I have invested in Solidworks Design software to turn my client’s ideas into reality. The support of the Solidworks reseller – Solidsolutions cannot be over emphasized. From training to support, Solidsolutions have been there.

At S3 Design and Development I work with numerous businesses in varied sectors and the work can vary from creating a 2D drawing for a machined component through to a full scale 3D structural steel project for a major supermarket.

I have created innovative solutions for my clients and I specialize in developing multi point linkage mechanisms through to mechatronic systems with wireless control. This is an area that I have a great deal of interest in and Solidworks allows me to turn those ideas into fully defined designs and products for my clients. I have also developed mechanisms for the safe stowage of computer monitors in office and school desks, utilizing the power of Stabilus gas springs for motion control.

I have a 500 square foot workshop for the assembly of prototype products. I’ve developed a network of Solidworks design partners, component manufacturers and suppliers that I rely on to supply me with high quality products to produce your prototype.

Our portfolio shows some of the variety of different projects that S3 Design has worked on and although this is a small snapshot, it hopefully demonstrates a little about what we do.
